Express Entry

Using Express Entry, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) can invite qualified people to submit a permanent residency application. These applicants have all formally expressed their desire to immigrate to Canada by setting up an Express Entry profile. The Express Entry pool accepts the profiles of eligible candidates. The evaluation is scored in accordance with the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on the personal information the candidate has submitted.

Candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Trades Classes are also included in the pool, in addition to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSTC). Then, during its Express Entry drawings, IRCC extends invitations to applicants.

Federal Skilled-Worker Program (FSW)

The Federal Skilled Worker Program allows the nation to accept large numbers of newcomers each year based on their potential to integrate into the country’s workforce. The Federal Skilled Worker Program allows professionals and skilled individuals from all over the world to relocate permanently to Canada.

Candidates may submit an application as well as with their children and spouse. Candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker program are eligible regardless of their connections to Canada. The program is an excellent option for individuals who reside outside of Canada because the minimum criteria for job experience, language skills, and education may all be met elsewhere.

Federal Skilled Worker Program Advantages (FSWP)

Candidates for the Federal Skilled Workers Program have two significant benefits and one possible disadvantage under Express Entry. Candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker Class are eligible regardless of their personal connection to Canada.

The program is a great choice for people who live out of Canada. Eligibility is based on the minimum required experience for job, language skills, and education. Applicants for the Federal Skilled Worker Program receive the highest share of invitations to apply in 2018. The share was over half of all invitations sent out to FSWC candidates. The potential disadvantage of FSW is that there is no certainty that you will be invited to apply. This may happen even if you’re qualified to do so under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
