It lets the applicant operate a new or existing business in Australia. A provisional visa enables them own and manage a business in Australia, and invest in entrepreneurial endeavours or business and investment operations, as well as those who have a subclass 444 (Special Category) visa and certain subclass 457 (Business (Long Stay) visa holders, to remain in the country permanently.

The Permanent visa subclass (888), will be granted to the visa holders of subclass 188 (Business Innovation and Investment), as well as the visa subclass  444 (Special Category), and visa subclass 457 (Business -Long Stay).

To obtain this visa you are required to:

  • Run and operate a new or existing business in Australia.
  • Be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
